A James Cook University graduate, Wendy Munson was admitted as a solicitor in 1999 remaining dedicated to North Queensland having been raised in Charters Towers.
Soon after her admission Wendy’s career changed course with her working as a business taxation advisor and later a compliance officer with the Australian Taxation Office. This lead to Wendy obtaining a first-hand understanding of the commercial realities faced by modern businesses and the pervasive effect taxation has on all business transactions. In 2012, Wendy completed her Masters in Taxation with the University of NSW.
Wendy returned to law in 2003 when she took up a position with the Daikyo Group of Companies in Cairns, serving as in-house counsel and company secretary to the corporate group with diverse interests in property development and tourism in both Cairns and the Gold Coast resulting in Wendy advising on a broad range of corporate, environmental, commercial and contractual matters.
Since returning to Townsville, Wendy has continued to hone her expertise in estate planning and business succession, all aspects of rural and agribusiness, trusts, companies and asset protection, taxation and general contract and commercial law.
Outside of work, Wendy loves spending time with her Siberian Huskies. After over 15 years’ experience living with the breed, the dogs have Wendy well trained! Wendy is working on her photography skills and also enjoys watching movies in her free time.
